Volunteers

There is a lot of time and effort required to run Kailua AYSO and we are very grateful for all of our volunteers. There are so many ways to help: Coaches, Referees, Linepersons, Special Events, Field Maintenance, VIP Program, Picture Day, Registration, Board Members, and more.

AYSO NATIONAL VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM and Online SAFE HAVEN COURSE

The AYSO National Volunteer Application Form can be submitted online via www.eAYSO.org.  If you have not used eAYSO before, click on the "First Time" button and click on the button "I want to do my part as an AYSO Volunteer.”  Enter the requested information and proceed to create a profile with your email and a password. When completed, click “Next".

"Tab/Step 1 of 8" of the volunteer application will open.  Fill in the requested information and proceed to the next page. If information is missing from a page, you will not be able to proceed to the next page.  Missing information will be highlighted when attempting to move to the next page. Please note on Step 2 to include your middle name as this will help minimize any confusion with people with similar names.  Also, on Step 5 in the disclosure section, if you select “Yes,” you will need to provide detailed information on the incident.

When you get to Step 8 (final step), check on the box “I Agree,” fill in the information, then click “Submit.”  You will receive a confirmation message on the activity you have done.  Click on the link “Return to My eAYSO Home”.  Next, click on the “Print form” link.  The "Print Forms" screen opens, showing the form(s) ready to print.  Click on the printer icon next to the “Volunteers” form or click on the form’s name link.   Do not try to print the application by clicking on your browser’s Print icon.

You will need to print out the completed Volunteer form and mail TWO (2) SIGNED copies along with a copy of a valid picture ID (that has your signature on it) to:

CVPA - Kailua AYSO
PO Box 911,
Kailua HI 96734

Our CVPA (Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate) will then process your registration.  At that point, you will be assigned a unique AYSO ID number.  You can find out your AYSO ID number by logging into your eAYSO.org account at www.eAYSO.org , 3 or 4 days after mailing your volunteer registration documents.

Once you retrieve your AYSO ID number, you will need to complete the AYSO Safe Haven course. This is a fundamental course for our volunteers and is required.  The course is usually given at the end of each Coaches Meeting session and takes about an hour. The course is also available online (AYSOtraining.org) and takes less than 20 minutes to complete.  When you have successfully completed the course exam, print out a copy of the course certificate for your records.

The Volunteer Application form must be resubmitted every year that you volunteer, but the AYSO Safe Haven course only needs to be taken one time.   Thanks for volunteering!  If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please contact our CVPA at CVPA@KailuaAYSO.com.
